GREEN COMMONS PROGRAM FOR ESG DATA

The objective is to develop a new major applied research program to facilitate the collection and sharing of ESG data by financial players and researchers, as well as to promote the development of robust evaluation tools for the financing of the low-carbon transition and ecological and financial stability. It is therefore a question of consolidating the French and European ambitions on green and sustainable finance by supporting them on with ‘green and ESG database’, a ‘common good’ embodied by the ‘Green Commons’ program, which aims at the multiplication of data sharing initiatives via thematic and secure data lake infrastructures based on the sensitivity of the data and its nature (open data, satellite images, issuer reporting, etc.). The main program is broken down into differentiated research initiatives addressing specific use cases such as adressing the sustainable development objectives by financial flows, and assessment of physical and reputational risks.
